ABOUT US..
I’m Lucy and I have a (un)healthy habit of saving chairs from landfill, charity shops and roadsides. The majority of my furniture at home is second hand, salvaged and self-made. I just LOVE furniture, it’s an essential part to our daily lives, it adds character and warmth to our home and it’s so so important for daily functioning, and so much fun to use it to personalise your home.
The rest of my team include my trusty steed, Mac the dog. He likes to personally test each new chair in my house just to make sure it’s up to standard, and chew my socks when no-one’s looking. And my OH does the IT, heavy lifting and my odd jobs, plus corrects my grammar. He’s a good egg.
We began Boughtwood Restoration in 2015 after leaving a restoration role in Reading, Berkshire to relocate in Cornwall. With a wealth of experience in restoration, we revel in helping customers find a solution to their furniture issues. From seat weaving with cane, bespoke work, through to upholstery and finishing, we are adept and passionate about helping you restore your furniture to last another generation and enabling you to give the gift of heirloom furniture.
We work as ethically and as sustainably as possible, using material from reputable companies, working together with local companies and making sure the waste we create is recycled and reused where possible.
